Birthday card inspiration

Happy Friday!  I'm sharing the birthday card I gave to my sisters for their birthdays yesterday (yes, twins). I was inspired by a card I found on Pinterest that used a different color scheme and flower stamps. 

To make this card, I took some scrap paper, punched out different sized circles, and used the paper as a mask.  I then got my sponge daubers inked up in the 3 colors, and filled in the circles onto the white layer.  I added a mix of butterflies in black overlapping the colorful polka dots after they dried.

Try this idea with favorite image stamps and your own color scheme.  I think it would be cute with some blue tones and snowflakes, or purple and orange with some Halloween bats.  :)

Since it's the start of a new catalog year, I'm going to feature some of the new products with additional info and samples over the next few weeks as I play with my new toys. :)

Up first, a video from Stampin' Up! on the new Big Shot accessory that will make using your Framelits so much easier - the Magnetic Platform!  It will hold your metal dies perfectly in place as you cut, so no uneven edges or wonky borders around your stamped images.  Hooray!

It's Sale-a-Bration!

 

 Sharing some cards featuring new Spring catalog and Sale-a-Bration items.  These cards were all made by fellow demos in our group.  The above "Thanks" card features a sentiment from Vintage Verses, which you can earn free with a $50 purchase.  This card was made by my upline, the fab Lyssa Zwolanek.  :) 

The card on the left below was made by the talented Lynn Dunn and is absolutely adorable (although needs to be rotated!) - features new spring Melon Mambo ribbon and the super fun Oh Whale stamp set and new patterned paper.  I love all the cute sentiments to go along with the whale and umbrella images in that section of the catalog.  Make sure you let me know if you still need either the Spring catalog or SAB brochure!

The card on the right below wasn't signed but features several SAB items - the stamp set, paper, and ribbon and button trim can all be yours for free with purchase, starting today, January 22!
