Say goodbye to 2013 and the Holiday Catalog!

I have some sad news and some good news... 

The sad news:  The Stampin' Up Holiday Catalog is only good until January 2.  You can get the free catalog PDF download or shop the holiday products right here in my store.

These are the items from the holiday catalog that will be carried over and available after January 2 (download PDF list).  Anything not on the list may be retired...there's a chance it could show up in the new annual catalog, but if you fell in love with those versatile Expressions Thinlit dies, or the classy Pretty Print embossing folder, or the festive patterned papers, or any of the non-carryover stamps, get your order in by Thursday!

The good news is the Occasions (spring!) catalog starts up on January 2nd, so you can email me at JumpIntoStamping@gmail.com and I'll get one in the mail to you for free, along with the upcoming Sale-a-Bration brochure that starts at the end of January.  Cheer up, ladies, although the holiday season may be ending, the spring catalog (and hopefully spring itself) is just around the corner!   :)

Birthday card inspiration

Happy Friday!  I'm sharing the birthday card I gave to my sisters for their birthdays yesterday (yes, twins). I was inspired by a card I found on Pinterest that used a different color scheme and flower stamps. 

To make this card, I took some scrap paper, punched out different sized circles, and used the paper as a mask.  I then got my sponge daubers inked up in the 3 colors, and filled in the circles onto the white layer.  I added a mix of butterflies in black overlapping the colorful polka dots after they dried.

Try this idea with favorite image stamps and your own color scheme.  I think it would be cute with some blue tones and snowflakes, or purple and orange with some Halloween bats.  :)

With Easter here already tomorrow, I wanted to share a card made by a fellow Song of My Heart demo I took a picture of at our last meeting.  It features the single sentiment stamp Easter Blessings as well as some bright springy colors.  I have hopes that spring will arrive soon - the frozen lake outside my window seems to be turning to a giant puddle!  :)

It's Sale-a-Bration!

 

 Sharing some cards featuring new Spring catalog and Sale-a-Bration items.  These cards were all made by fellow demos in our group.  The above "Thanks" card features a sentiment from Vintage Verses, which you can earn free with a $50 purchase.  This card was made by my upline, the fab Lyssa Zwolanek.  :) 

The card on the left below was made by the talented Lynn Dunn and is absolutely adorable (although needs to be rotated!) - features new spring Melon Mambo ribbon and the super fun Oh Whale stamp set and new patterned paper.  I love all the cute sentiments to go along with the whale and umbrella images in that section of the catalog.  Make sure you let me know if you still need either the Spring catalog or SAB brochure!

The card on the right below wasn't signed but features several SAB items - the stamp set, paper, and ribbon and button trim can all be yours for free with purchase, starting today, January 22! 

 

Multi-use for the win!

I love when products are versatile so you use them in unexpected ways.  I know it's a little after Christmas, but I wanted to share some of the holiday cards I sent out this year.  

This red and green number featured SU's holiday catalog decorative tags, with a simple sentiment stamp to coordinate.  I could churn these out quickly since the label was otherwise pre-made, yet they're still super cute.  Current SU In Color Gumball Green was used in most of my holiday cards, and the embossing folder was a recent Clearance Rack score for super cheap. Yay!

And this beauty is one we made at our monthly demo meeting, designed by the clever Lori Brausen, "Duchess of Design."  I never would have thought of the Daydream Medallion stamps and the Floral Frames Framelit dies as holiday festive (although gorgeous for floral designs and backgrounds!), but in these wintery colors with the added texture of silver glimmer paper and Northern Flurry embossing folder, it was one of my favorites.  Since I only had one of these, I sent it to my mom.  :)

Embossing folder:  New Spring Honeycomb folder!  I love this folder!  My initial attempts weren't perfect when I used my warped Cuttlebug plates, but when I switched to my new Big Shot with straight plates, everything was crisply embossed. 
I also used the Summer Silhouettes stamp set for the Blushing Bride flowers.

Have you ever wanted to see a warehouse of stamps?!

If you've ever wanted to know what the inside of the Stampin' Up distribution center looks like, check this out!  It shows how boxes go through aisle and aisles of products to get packed and to your doorstep, as well as some of the milestones the company has made over the last 25 years. 

Their manufacturing building is in Kanab, Utah, home of Best Friends Animal Sanctuary.  If you're a demo going to SU's annual convention in SLC, UT, you can take a trip to see the stamp-packing action as well as volunteer working with homeless pets!  :)

"Imperfect is Perfect" - Check out the new kit for masculine cards.  Great for stampers who have a lot of guy receipients, guys needing to send thank yous, or an easy way to get your SO to make you something hand-stamped (even if it's not perfect!) for Valentine's Day coming up.

I especially like the mix of stamps included - "special occasion" and "I ___ you" would be great for scrapbooking, thanks is a good go-to stamp, and the "#%&@!" is just funny!

Quick card for a friend

I made this quick and easy card for a friend who injured her arm this week.  This friend happens to like lime green and has a black dog, which explains the combination here.  :)   The inside sentiment ("Better get better") and stamps are from The Cat's Pajamas, so this fits their challenge this week to use an "oldies" stamp set.

Stampin' Up's new spring "mini" catalog is now available.  39 pages of new products and inspiration to keep you occupied during the next snowpocalypse!   We had about 20" of snow here in WI about 2 weeks ago, and I spent some quality time working on my Christmas cards, but this new catalog makes me want to play with non-holiday products asap.  Just look at the project on the cover, so shabby chic!
